Karl Marx once said that history repeats itself, but so is the case with fashion.
Fashion is a style of clothing, accessorizing, makeup and hairstyle, popular at a time. It is something with which we deal every day. From the times of our grand-parents to our generation, there is an evident change in the way people dress-up and present themselves. It is often seen that fashion follows a cyclic path and keeps returning, time-to-time.
But do we have to throw-away our fashionable pieces to be updated with the latest trend? Definitely not! Every one or two decades, what was once old, becomes new, sometimes with little modification. And reflection of this fashion-cycle can be seen on Bollywood celebrities, the industry which influences people the most to follow particular trends.
For instance, winged liners that is one of the recent make-up “things”, was also very much followed in the 60s. Actress like Saira Banu charmed everyone with her beauty enhanced by winged-liner. The “red-bold-lips” look which is perfect any special occasion did not came out in 2016, but actress like Madhubala carried off this look during that time.
From high-waist pants to jumpsuits, from blonde-hair to thick eyebrows all was once in trend during 1960s-1980s.
In men’s fashion, drain-pipe pants which was once in trend in 1960s and worn Bollywood actors like Dilip Kumar and Devanand, has also hit the markets with a new name “Regular-fit” pants.
These repeating fashion style and trends, makes fashion more affordable because we need not to buy all new stuffs to be look “put-together”. No wonder, why fashion industry never goes out of ideas.
